“My property and possessions are special to me; I need to feel they are special to you”

Not all Motor and House Buildings and Contents insurance policies are the same. Based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, at RHG we strive to make sure you get the best possible policy to fit your needs.  We know price is important but cheap means worthless if it does not provide the cover you need.

RHG takes the stress out of arranging your insurance, doing all the hard work to help you make the right decision from options presented, in an easy-to-understand style.  The planning, organising and co-ordinating is done for you.  We get the answers to the right questions, offering you very personal advice, with the detail that the internet and UK call centres simply do not always deliver.

At RHG we present you with the available options and make an informed recommendation, but we always allow you to decide which policy is best suited for you.  RHG is a truly independent adviser, not owned by an insurance company or with any arrangements to sell particular products.

Does your policy contain the following benefits?

Home Buildings and Contents:

  • Warranty Free – The absence of small print that ensures that cover remains in force if, for example, you forgot to set  the alarm or a window is left open.
  • Appraisal Service – To assist you with advice on security, fire prevention and help in determining the adequacy of the sums insured.
  • Alternative Accommodation – If your house is uninhabitable, cover is provided for up to 3 years on a similar size and type of property.
  • Trace and Access – The cost of identifying the origin of a water leak, for example, is not covered under standard policies.
  • Loss of value following repair – cover included for fine art and valuables where the item is damaged but is repairable.
  • 60 day increased cover for new purchases – Up to 25% of your Contents sum insured for up to 60 days after the purchase of the item.
  • Worldwide All Risks – Covering all of your contents anywhere in the world.
  • Identify Fraud – Up to £100,000 to reinstate your credit rating and clear your name.
  • International Recovery – Should an item be stolen, searches are made around the world at auction houses to try and return the item to you.
  • Multiple properties on one policy and one common renewal date – making renewal as simple as possible.
  • Concierge Service – Help with obtaining tickets for shows, concerts and sporting events, links to event management companies, etc.

Motor:

  • Agreed value with no deduction – No haggling over the vehicle's value should a total loss occur.
  • Like-for-like courtesy car – Our insurers will not give you a standard vehicle such as a Nissan Micra if you drive a BMW, you can have the choice of vehicle similar to your own.
  • Choice of repairers – If you wish to take your pride and joy to a specific garage, you can.
  • New vehicle replacement – If your vehicle is stolen or totally destroyed, our insurers will replace it with a new one of the same make and model if it is less than 12 months old.
  • No blame bonus – Following an accident, if the third party is unknown or is uninsured, our insurers will not reduce your no claims bonus.
  • Revocation of driving licence due to illness – Up to £1,000 towards alternative transport for up to 6 months.
  • Inability to drive due to injury sustained following an insured accident – Up to £1,000 towards alternative transport for up to 6 months.
  • Car jacking cover
  • Road Rage

It could happen to any one of us

John Unwin only intended to leave the house for a quick errand and didn’t think to set the alarm at the property, as he would not be out for long. However, whilst out, he bumped into a friend and went for a coffee and a chat.

Business Interruption Insurance Holds Up by Paul Beasley
Recent audits have shown that despite the recession, companies have not automatically cut or reduced their Business Interruption insurance during the current economic downturn. In past recessions, many companies have taken the view that Business Interruption insurance is a luxury that can be foregone but the evidence seems to be that that is no longer the case. Whilst this is clearly good news, there is still a body of evidence that shows the current levels of Business Interruption insurance are largely inadequate.
